Contemporary artist Maggie Kempinska (b. 1972) belongs to the new generation of artists that works with mixed media and moves elegantly across traditional genres, materials and isms.
Art was fostered at various art schools in Denmark where she received intensive training by artists such as Pierre Beskow, Peter Land, Peter Holck, Eva Kochand wonder boy of contemporary art Tal R. Today she primarily works with mixed media and collages. Characteristic for her expression is the subtle and the playful, the vague and odd beauty of undefined elements, that grows on the beholder. She works mostly in the borderline between the abstract and semi-figurative, with materials such as: acrylic, ink, textiles, cardboard, trash and artful, decorative elements that she finds on her way or create on her Mac. All of her collages are signed unique pieces and are available under the YOU category. Also visit maggiekempinska.com.
